New Traffic Rules At Moolakothalam Junction

New traffic arrangement will come into force at the Moolakothalam junction (Wall Tax Road - Basin Bridge Road - Cochrane Bridge Road) junction starting Saturday. The modifications, made on an experimental basis, will be studied for a month, a release from the Traffic Police said on Friday. Two-way traffic is allowed in the stretch of Wall Tax Road from Basin Bridge Road to Pedhunaicken Street. Vehicles on Cochrane Bridge Road can directly proceed to Wall Tax Road and vehicles on Basin Bridge Road can take a left turn to Wall Tax Road. Right turn at Moolakothalam junction into Wall Tax Road from Basin Bridge is prohibited.  Vehicles on Basin Bridge Road cannot take a right turn at the junction to reach Cochrane Road but may go via Padavettaman Koil Street, Pedhunaicken Street and Wall Tax Road. Motorists are allowed to take a right turn from Cochrane Bridge Road to Basin Bridge. Last edited by shubha; 22-09-06 at 02:47 PM. |
