The traffic police have declared a November 15th deadline for vehicle owners to fix number plates as approved by the Central Motor Vehicles (CMV) rules.

Size of letters and numerals of the registration mark should be as follows:

The rear letters in all motorcycles and three wheeled invalid carriages should have dimensions not less than 36 mm height, 7 mm thickness with 5 mm space between each letter.

The rear numeral should have 40 mm height, 7 mm thickness and 5 mm space.

All motorcycles with engine capacity less than 70 cc should have front letters and numerals with 16 mm height, 2.5 mm thickness and 2.5 mm space.

Other motorcycles should have front letters and numerals with 30 mm height, 5 mm thickness and 5 mm space.

I m sure dear that such kind of dead lines will never work in our country b'coz I had never hear the success of such type of campaign in our country. Just tell me:

"Why the vehicles with number plates not according to CMV act are running in our cities yet although the standardization of number plates had already been defined inside the CMV act when act was created."

One more thing

"According to CMV act eligibility of Flashing Blue and Red lights are only for people those are on certain posts under the central and state governments but you can easily find the vehicles with these lights those are not authorized for such VIP lights."

Why Traffic authorities are not taking the action against the owners of these vehicle?

The answer is they are VIPs and it doesn't matter whether they have eligibility for flashing light or not.

In our country rules and regulations are not meant for VIPs they are only for general people.
