| Delhi The capital, seat of political power, the satta game! Republic and Independence day parades. Golgappes. Punjabi Dhaba khana! Chandni Chowk, 10 Janpath! Cheap affordable housing. HOT SCORCHING summers, COLD CHILLING winters. Pollution. Not very friendly neighbors, Chai in earthern pots! Ambassadors (cars here!). Black Cats! Sonia Gandhi! Road Rage, Traffic Jams, but how good is the traffic sense here? |

Although the rains brought a relief to the Delhiites from oppressive heat, it has led to water logging on roads, resulting in traffic snarl all across the city.
The traffic on Mehrauli-Gurgaon road almost came to a standstill with vehicles going for a bumper-to-bumper ride. Ashok Dixit, a senior news editor said, "I am caught on this traffic jam for almost one and half hour and have managed to move only 8 kilometres". Traffic police looked helpless as they tried to clear the stranded vehicles. Potholes and the undergoing construction work on the Highway have led to chaos on the roads. The scene at the Naraina crossing was no different, with a long queue of traffic slowly trudging the road. (ANI) |
