Why no laws for lane driving?
I am from the US and just landed in India after 12 years or so. I had heard about India's auto growth story and was shocked to see that the authorities have no laws/rules whatsoever for lane driving.
Everyone is driving left, right and center. Infact, it is impossible to drive in a lane or a safe lane. Drivers who try sticking to a lane could end up hitting a wall since there are no proper lane demarcations and lanes could just end anywhere. The roads are being manned by security guards from villages as there seems to be shortage of traffic police. I realized that there is a 100% (double) taxation on foreign cars and a $20,000 car is for $40,000 or more India. So where does all that money go? Govt. cannot afford to have a traffic system in place and things move on their own. No road systems, designs or anything. It's quite shameful that there is no respect for lanes or any other traffic discipline. |

Hi raghavtickoo actually people give more preference to their time then their life that's why people are avoiding the lane rule but see there is lane rule in India some people follow it some don't.
