The Deadly Delhi - Gurgaon Highway “U” Turn

If we had a “POLL” on the most dangerous "U" turn on NCR roads - THE "U" TURN, just before the TOLL GATE, before entering DELHI (for going back to Gurgaon or AMBY MALL) would qualify as the “Deadliest U Turn”.

Every time I take a U turn, I ponder how our authorities have completely ignored the road safety aspect and created such a deadly U Turn.

Some say that DS Constructions was supposed to construct an Underpass connecting service lanes of NH-8. But unfortunately, they never did.

Infact, how could they not construct one, when a huge mall has come up and there are thousands of pedestrians (staff) walking into the mall. Leela Kempinski hotel has also opened within the Mall and the prestigious BMW showroom.

Not to mention, rickshaws, autos are parked outside the mall, on the service lanes.

IT’S A COMPLETE MESS.

There is no such thing as pedestrian safety.

The authorities spent Rs. 1000 crores on the expressway and the Mall guys must have spent over Rs. 200 crores.

There is already a township (Ambience Island) for the last 8 years.

THEN WHY DIDN’T THE AUTHORTIES CONSIDER ALL THESE IMPORTANT FACTORS BEFORE MAKING SUCH A TERRIBLE MESS OF THE PLACE?

WHO HAS THE ANSWERS? THE PEOPLE WHO DIE ON THESE ROADS WILL PROBABLY ASK GOD IN HEAVEN.

One can see a few cop vehicles on the road, however what are they expected to do when the road design is completely faulty?

Probably, they are awaiting an accident so that they can swing into action!.
