Cool Unpublished Indian road rules

These are some unpublished (thus far) Indian road rules that I picked up from here. Feel free to add to this list. Here goes:
  • Drive fast ... and in any lane unoccupied. If your car has not traversed through all lanes, every 100 meters, then you are not driving. You are merely following.
  • There is no such thing as fixed number of lanes. If you try enough there is always space at the extreme left ... for you to create another lane.
  • You have paid for your car horn. Use it often and use it well.
  • If the car in front of you does not move within 1.15 seconds of the lights turning green ... honk the hell out of the driver. He might be sleepy and needs to be jolted. You would only be helping him.
  • If a car hits yours ... make sure everyone gets to hear your thoughts about the drivers parentage and close female relatives.
  • If your car hits another ... immediately swear and shout 'chalana nahi aata kya' at the top of your voice. Remember he who shouts first and the loudest ... is right.
  • If someone hits someone else ... it is the best time to get ahead .. while all others wait and watch.
  • Crossing when the signal light is yellow ... is your right. So is crossing till 15 seconds after the light turns red. You should always factor in 'reaction time' of others.
  • At intersections with no traffic lights or at round-a-bouts ... remember there is no right or wrong .... only right or left. Use either director to move further.
  • And finally on roads during Diwali .... remember .... its not 'Better late than never' - its 'Never let others do better'.

And before I conclude .. the customary disclaimer. Lesser mortals are warned against using the rules above. We are only allowed to write posts in frustration. Heh heh....

At red light always try to stop your vehicle in blank space and by doing this you shouldn’t care about your lane (in which actually u should stand) because lanes in our country are painted only to make our roads beautiful.

Yes tapan road users in India strictly follow above mentioned undefined rules but not the rules written under Motor Vehicle Act.

These are the true Indian road rules which follow through out the country by each and every road user (both educated and illiterate) and these rules are nowhere written in any act of our country.
