I traveled on National Highway 24 i.e. between Delhi and Lucknow a lot. It is 2 lane highway but the heavy vehicles traffic rush on this road is very high. Traveling on this highway between Delhi to Moradabad is very difficult because of Traffic jam. Almost everyday you can find a kilometers long traffic jam on this route due to either any accident or due to vehicle’s fault (especially overloaded trucks) and the road between Delhi and Moradabad is also very bad, road is full of potholes. Although there are 3 bypasses on this route i.e. on Ghaziabad, Hapur and Moradabad but they are not helping commuters. Proposal of making this highway 4 lane is pending in government files from past few years.

Please always avoid traveling on this highway in night because most traffic jams take place in night and police always reach late to open the jams.

There are 5 railways crossings between Moradabad and Bareilly and peak hours of trains start in night so it may be possible you may found most railway barriers close and sometimes it can also create long traffic jam.

Thank god.... I will think twice before traveling on NH 24 and hemant I think you have suffered on NH 24 very badly......
