Question Road Rage and Aggressive Driving

The kind of chaos that is seen on the roads of Delhi, Kerala or even Maharashtra is seen nowhere in any other part of the world. No.of accidental death or cases of road rage and consequent death is continuously rising on the Indian road. Hence, it will not be an exaggeration to say that Indian road traffic is more well-known road rages and Road accidental deaths.

rage

If you have not seen Hyderabad.. you havent seen anything yet.

Road rage is one aspect of driving and it is a result of frustration due to bad driving, poor road conditions, heat and dust..etc....etc.

I am advocating a code of conduct on the road that will ease stress and to some extent curb road rage.

Thanks,

Nice Banner!!! If you got stuck in Road rage then one solution that i have read from some where else is I am Sorry...You have a banner like I am Sorry in your car... if you face road rage then show it to the other car driver...It's very fruitful.

Nice one Harsh Few information on Road rage as well as Aggressive driving: As we know that Aggressive driving is not "road rage". Aggressive driving takes many forms but is basically defined in three categories, lack of good manners, breaking the rules and angry driving. Individuality of aggressive driving are driving unbelted, driving under the influence of drugs, medication, drunken driving, speeding, tailgating. These are just a few of the many traits of an aggressive driver.

Rate of road rage cases in India is highest than any country of the world. No one follow rules and regulations while driving here. The funniest thing in road rage cases is that every one blames others for wrong driving but in actual no one drives in proper manner.

Anyway nice sticker harsh.

DON'T TAILGATE BE CALM AND COOL WHILE DRIVING...
Tailgating is when someone deliberately follows a car closely, ignoring the basic 2 second rule. Always remember to maintain your car's visibility when near a truck. This type of accident is easily avoided by not tailgating. Be cool when you are on the way and you do not want to involve in any accident, do not tailgate.

If people drive responsibly they will reduce the chances of conflict on the road and help make our roads safer. From my point of view the following tips to help avoid road conflicts:

Don’t take other driver’s mistakes personally; Avoid honking your horn unless absolutely necessary and, if you must, tap on it lightly; Say, “Sorry” if you make a mistake. An apology can reduce the risk of conflict;

The main cause of the rising statistics pertaining to accidents is road rage. No one is patient enough to give the other driver some space. Everyone wants to get through before the others and no one minds violating a traffic signal to be ‘the first’! Moreover a small driving error by a driver usually leads to a full fledged brawl on the road! Road rage in India is rising due to congestion, bad roads, time constraints and other similar reasons.

I am just trying to figure out why Indians are so rude(Impatient ) on roads (in general too??).

The main cause of road rage in India is "I must be ahead of you" attitude.

India is the most beautiful country in the world. But probably we're the worst people on earth...

Neither attitude nor patient nothing matters... except strict rule and strict monitoring. Attitude, patient etc... all will fall in line.

The kind of chaos seen on the roads of Delhi or in Bangalore or Kolkata is nowhere to see in the world. Number of accidental death or cases of road rage and consequent death is rising on the Indian road. Therefore, it is most logical to say that accidents have been a day-to-day phenomenon on Indian roads.

Sometimes road rage causes accidents or incidents on roadways but on few occasions rude gestures & verbal abuse surely has its own harmful effects.

Below are the few signs of road rage:

Signs of Road rage –

• Speeding and Aggressive acceleration
• Honking unnecessarily or flashing lights excessively
• Tailgating
• Cutting others off
• Forming a "convoy" to block access to a traffic lane
• Rude gestures (such as the finger in an OFFENSIVE not DEFENSIVE manner)
• Shouting verbal abuse, including threats
• Hitting a person or vehicle
• Threatening to use or using a firearm or other deadly weapon
• Pursuing for retaliation or revenge of a perceived slight
• Triggering or exaggerating traffic waves

Being behind the wheel is no place to surface your aggression.

rightly said...

road rage according to me is the event of taking out all the frustration in our personal lives on some random stranger just because he or she did some minor thing on the road.
