Is anyone serious about Road Safety - Easy Drive Forum

Inspite of a lot of discussions on road traffic everywhere in India, some how I feel that there is strong need to intensify our approach for the road traffic hazard. At present the government is making only a half hearted attempt for accidents. Though it is spending tremendous amount of money on road safety but we donot find the results in that proportion. Although there is lot of reseach work on road accidents by WHO or allied agencies, but some how besides some academic activities, we don’t see their results on roads. Even many full time dedicated NGOs don’t show much practical involvement besides organizing some traffic or road safety weeks.

I must say there are very few people or organizations in WHOLE INDIA that are really very serious in true sense.

the need of hour in our country is road education which is the basic need for any safety standards
the second need is personal responsibly
the third need the law which is yet to be understood by law enforcing agencies

what ever the government does it is left to the public to follow but when its not followed what an apathy hence what can the government do

Hi all
See people have to be serious about the road safety as daily people must be reading new regularly that some one died yesterday night just because of drunk and driving and whole family was crushed by truck in the morning while car was over taking etc such news will definitely bound then in think about the safety and in recent paper there was news about an accident in which no life was lost as man got safe due to air bag and low speed in skoda fabia car but was injured in accident this will also bound them to think about the safety features also.
