Bangalore
The garden city, set dosa, the largest population Kannada speaking Tamils, Malleshwaram, MG, Kemp Fort, Software, no water, pubs, Vidhan Soudha, Vivesvaraya, spanking clean, sweet, relaxed, greatest weather. Techies who know the right rules to flirt. Silicon valley of India. But how MNCs, outsourcing and corporate culture is shaping the infrastructure of the city?

Angry Two wheeler ramming.

The frustration caused by driving in our city traffic is well understood. But most of us will still remain patient and have no intention to damage/injure others. But there are a certain category of drivers/riders who least care for others safety as well as themselves! I am pretty sure that most of the readers would have gone through similar experience what i had. It is all about ramming a vehicle into the traffic in a mindless manner. My last experience was with a red Enfield-Bullet two wheeler rider on busy jeevan bhima nagar road. The traffic was dense and slow. I heard a pounding roar of a speeding bullet from behind. Before i could understand what is happening, that guy rammed his two-wheeler between my scooter and a car running close in front of me. In a fit of fear, i jammed the brakes and the bullet's heavy rear wheel brushed past the front wheel of my light-weight scooter by an inch or so. If i didn't brake, i would have been crashed out and ran over by the vehicles comming in the opposite direction. He dangerously went past the car infront of me. Forget the humiliation and rage caused by this kind of behavior. Just think of the consequence. We'll get psyched by the very thought of our children losing their papa or mama or our young and loving husbands or wives lose their spouse for ever, or some aged and dependent father and mother lose their child after investing their whole life in bringing him/her up, just because some bonk-head want to display his half-baked skills in our unprotected traffic. This is not the first time and not a single experience. There are quiet a few senseless morons out there. From my observation, traffic cops and formal education has nothing to do with these kind of outrageous behavior. The guy i described above looked like a well educated professional wearing office accessories. It is the mind or rather the human element in us that make us an eligible social being who care about others and their feelings.

I have only one message to this kind of immature pseudo James-Bonds. It is foolish to think that your cheap chivalry will be admired by the onlookers. As all the others know, you too should understand that it is the care and skill of the other riders and drivers that avoid the accident and that even save both the lives. Ride/Drive carefully. Deaths caused by irrational driving cannot be justified ever. There is always an irreversible "could-have-been-careful" part to every accidents. You cannot repair the damages - you cannot compensate the loses - you cannot replace just another person, and no strength in you can face the grief. So be careful and courteous on the road. Don't just see the other vehicle, there is an individual in/on it just like you, who is a near and dear to some other innocent lives.

Very impressive post sudhishu.

Our roads are full of reckless drivers/riders. In India both educated and illiterate drive/ride in similar fashion. We can’t blame for our traffic cops for such motorcycle stunts because it’s our job to judge what is the right way to drive or ride on roads.

Welldone sudhishu and keep postings in EDF.

If everyone think seriously on above mentioned lines then it might be possible that number of road accidents in India can be reduced very much.

Well said sudhishu..
