Bangalore
The garden city, set dosa, the largest population Kannada speaking Tamils, Malleshwaram, MG, Kemp Fort, Software, no water, pubs, Vidhan Soudha, Vivesvaraya, spanking clean, sweet, relaxed, greatest weather. Techies who know the right rules to flirt. Silicon valley of India. But how MNCs, outsourcing and corporate culture is shaping the infrastructure of the city?

Unhappy A towering inferno on Hosur Road

A Towering Inferno on Hosur Road

Four Charred To Death As Speeding Milk Truck Coming From TN Collides With Bus

Four persons were charred to death when a milk tanker crashed into a Bangalore-bound private bus on Hosur Road early on Wednesday. There was a huge explosion in the area and both the vehicles were destroyed.

Bus driver Suresh Kumar, cleaner Israel Bhagyaraj and two pedestrians, who were standing near a median, were the victims. The bus was coming from Thiruvaroor and at Attibele, a speeding tanker hit the bus from the side and burst into flames. The fuel tank of the milk tanker exploded and soon, it was a towering inferno. Varada Raju, the driver of the milk tanker, was bringing 10,000 litres of milk from Tiruvannamalai.

The bus driver, who was trapped between the steering rod and the seat, was burnt alive. The cleaner also died due to the impact. The bus and lorry stood on the main road burning for over 30 minutes between 6 am to 6.30 am.
However, traffic was not blocked as the nearby service road provided an exit.

Thirty-four passengers in the bus escaped with minor injuries as the residents and passers-by broke the window panes of the bus to pull out the passengers. They also tried to save the driver but it was too late. However, the tanker driver and others in the cabin jumped out.

Two pedestrians crossing the road at the time of the accident, came under the wheels of the bus. They were killed on the spot. Their identities have not been established as their bodies were burnt beyond recognition. Police suspect they are daily wage workers.

The police have taken up a case against the bus owner as the emergency exit door did not open. They are awaiting a report from the motor vehicle inspector to initiate further action. Transport commissioner M C Narayana Gowda said: “We will carry out a drive to have the emergency exit doors of all buses checked.’’

Sir it is too late because we had lost 4 lives and you should feel shame on saying that.

Why our authorities awake only after the damage why not earlier??

Actually dhoomk2 it is a kind of routine statement which is given by our officers and politicians after every tragedy. So no need to take these statements seriously.

Right dhoomk2...If you (Traffic Authorities) do your work properly... check all the traffic signals properly, they are working well or not... Traffic police are there...they do duty or not...then there is no need to worry about anything...Wake up
