Thumbs up 1.

In the last 5 months we find lot of repair and tarring work in bangalore....Good Job. why do the government spend money on this work.....do you know...?

it is basically to help smooth flow of traffic, to prevent our vehicles getting damaged, prevent accidents due to bad roads, finally to help the tax paying citizen.

I think it is not only important to repair roads....
but to maintain the repaired roads..................is it not.

if you dont maintain them, it means you want to get them spoiled so that you can repair them....make some funds.

Now ...who is responsible for maintaining these roads ?

Right priority is the key. It's annoying to see good roads being tarred first, and bad roads ignored. I think government should take road condition in each city in his/her agenda. It's just common sense that bad roads are taken up first. And, you don't need world class engineers to identify a bad road in Bangalore. MG Road and Brigade Road can definitely wait for a few months.

Agree...

Proper maintenance of the roads should be the highest priority of state governments. Bad roads in major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai etc hampers the traffic situations. In last month here in Delhi The MG road affected due to rain and it caused heavy traffic jam not even in peak hours as well as in normal day time. But thank god...now the repair work on this road has been completed and traffic is flowing smoothly but in PEAK hours.....Heavy Traffic Jam….similar to other areas of Delhi.

What Happened To The Repaired Roads ?

OK....OUR GOVERNMENT HAS LOT OF MONEY AND REPAIRS THE GOOD ROADS FIRST....LOL

BUT WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE ROADS ?

Have you travelled from airport road to kormangla via vivekanagar,

OR

from koramangala to air port road via vivekanagar in the last 2 months ?

as soon as you finish the 80 feet road...(excelent road that has been tarred without reason in the last 2 months....3 coats) and you enter the vivekangar / egipura road. there are at least 20 trucks loaded with sands parked on the sides of these excellent newely tarred roads even in the peek hours.

Its the sand market.....lol

the traffic comes to a bottle neck here...
Half the width of the road is consumed by these truck, secondly the sand falling from these lorry damage the road, traffic skids, and these lorrys taking turns block the traffic...

Vivekanagar police station is 30 feet away, but does not come under these area... the cops leave then free.

but if you happen to park your car on the main road, you will be charged Rs.100 - Rs.150/- with in 1/2 hour... as there are traffic police roaming in kormangala....( because its the prime locality of bangalore, and police wants to take special interest in looking into the law and order of this area)

Then imagine how much the lorry wallas are paying them.....

Finally one of the major cause for traffic jam...

let me call this JAM 1

Watch for more .....................real Jams in bangalore..........with reasons....
does any police surf the net.............???
they need some technical update soon....

Increase frequencies of buses

The frequency of BMTC buses from Narayanpura to Majestic & Shivajinagar is only two hours. BMTC should extend buses coming up to the Tin Factory and Kaggadasapura. What do you think???
