International Tech Park Bangalore (incorrectly spelled as ITPL) is one of the major IT destination in the city. Every working day between 8.30-10 am and 4.30-8 pm it's absolute mess on all the roads that lead to this IT park. Traffic moves very slowly duting this time and so far I've not seen a single step from the traffic department to manage this mayhem. The city traffic police has no traffic management plan to tackle the situation.
Along the Whitefield-Ulsoor road, you can see lots of lorries and unlicensed mini-vans ferrying people. I think at least during the busy hours the traffic police can disallow these lorries and punish the unlicensed vehicles. Nothing has been done so far.
Apart from the perennial grid lock near K R Puram Railway station, the traffic chaos has now extended to Hoodi junction, BSI stop (where a traffic constable is more interested in allowing vehicles to Marthahalli side rather than K R Puram) Garudacharpalya and Mahadevapura road. Nowadays the normal time taken to reach Old Madras Road from ITPB is 75 minutes. Of this your vehicle will move for just 20 minutes! Sometimes 120 minutes.
