Bhopal
Bhopal, impressive is the new city with its verdant, exquisitely laid out parks and gardens, broad avenues and streamlined modern edifices. The capital of Madhya Pradesh is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty, historicity and modern urban planning. But when it comes to city road and traffic, do we call this modern urban planning?

Erratic parking blocks traffic in MP Nagar

If you are thinking to visit MP Nagar better you drop the idea as you will have to just creep here and there to park your vehicle. Haphazard parking on the newly constructed cemented roads has made it rather difficult for vehicle owners and even pedestrians to move freely.

In absence of designated parking place in the area people use the cemented roads for parking. The situation in front of Hotel Residency is rather worst as one side of the road is still under construction. In every half an hour there is a road blockade as the parked vehicles create hurdles in moving the heavy flow of vehicles. The fact is that there is no traffic police personnel posted in the area to man the heavy traffic.

Advocate Vinay Shrivastava says, in absence of parking place we have to face a good deal of problems. It is needed to deploy traffic police to control the otherwise disordered traffic. During office hours movement in the area becomes more sophisticated, he added.

Urban Administration and Development minister Jayant Malaya himself had encountered the problems while walking on the road and he instructed the officers concerned to take measures to improve traffic conditions of MP Nagar, he added.

What about general people if our higher authorities face such kind of problems. I think today each big city of our country is facing road traffic problems. Not only our traffic authorities as well as we are also responsible for such kind of problems if we think seriously about our driving and road manners.
