What's happening on the Begumpet flyover?
Anyone else noticed the phantom traffic jams on the Begumpet flyover when coming from HPS side to Greenlands?
http://www.wired.com/autopia/2009/06/phantom-jams/ Up until the middle of the flyover, everyone has to inch forward. Then suddenly, there's free flow ahead. Everything's clear. How can it happen every day at the same spot? There's no speed bump there (in the wider part of the flyover). Since they widened the flyover and added an extra lane to the HPS -> Greenlands stretch, traffic was flowing smoothly and we didn't have to inch forward all the way from the U-turn in front of HPS to Greenlands. What changed? |
