Drunken driving is brewing a heady cocktail. Henceforth, inebriated drivers will not get away with Rs 500 challan. Instead, they will be detained and produced in court for appropriate action.

Special drives against drunken driving on weekends notwithstanding there was no reduction in motorists driving their vehicles under the influence of alcohol. The traffic police have launched a crackdown on inebriated drivers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Police were concentrating on roads leading to the city and in areas where large number of bars and restaurants were concentrated.

So be carefull....

Well...this is good for drunken drivers...and what about cell drivers????
Drivers on Cell s Are as Bad as Drunks...While searching i got one more thing... Talking on your cell while driving can be more dangerous than driving under the influence of alcohol. Wot says??

Yes...I agree with u Sameer...In Mumbai on Sunday - A drunker driver again caused an accident when a black Santro rammed into the shanties on the footpath in Mazgaon injuring five people.

Mumbaikar drivers u should feel shame on this.

i agree with the rules layed down, drunken driving has to be made a punishable act. Seeking their pleasure of consuming alcohol, they have no right to kill innocent people.

Mumbaikar drivers u should feel shame on this. __________________ A cigarette reduces your life by 2 min. A bottle of spirit reduces your life by 4 min A day at work reduces your life by 8 hours.
