The stupendous task is an initiative to overcome the heavy traffic congestion faced by the hitech city people and hitherto provide seamless traffic to the populace.

“Adopt a Traffic Point” is a unique concept to answer the growing traffic problem in Twin Cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad. Based on a Private-Public partnership this initiate to take up various high traffic congestion points in the city and sponsor resources that can help in managing the traffic with the assistance of the Police.

Assist the Police in controlling Traffic during the peak hours

Educate people to observe common driving rules like

Traffic Signals

Zebra Crossings

Lane Discipline etc

Intimate EMRI and other services in case of casualties.

Intimate local Radio stations incase of any traffic congestions to help listeners to take diversion routes.


The initiative would be organised by the Additonal Commissioner of Police, Traffic Mr.A.K.Khan IPS at SR nagar cross roads on October 2, 2006


Initially the concept " Adopt a Traffic point " is being launched at Huda Mythrivanam, S R Nagar and ESI areas.
