Ahmedabad has a vehicular population of over 17 lakhs of which 75 per cent are two-wheelers. The travel time in the city has been increasing day-by-day.

Hi,

Is city still planning for Metro rail in Ahmedabad or that plan is cancelled after the plan to implement Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS)?

I think that plan is cancelled...Ahmedabad has taken a different route, placing its faith in bus rapid transport.

I just read this document on Vibrant Gujarat website....I think the plan for Metro rail is still alive.
