Traffic congestion due to illegal parking
40 per cent of the MG Road is captured by illegal double parking during peak hours due to this illegal parking traffic snarls during morning and evening hours.
Violation of parking norms is seen daily on M G Road. But on Laxmi Road too, people park their cars on the roads creating obstacles for the moving traffic. What is increasing the incidence of double parking on the city roads is lack of deterrent action: The traffic police department has no cranes to tow away the vehicles which are parked wrongly. Traffic authorities should handle this issue seriously.....
