Angry Illegal trucks parked infront of Gurgaon houses - under the police's nose

In the recent past, another factor is adding to the overburdened and hardly tarred roads of HUDA sectors.
The parking of heavy vehicles like trucks.

This trend is especially evident in Sector 21 and Sector 22 - truckers are using these sectors to park a large number of dumper trucks and other trucks.

It is causing road blocks as well as security concerns for the residents. Imagine a couple of trucks parked in front of your house and being 'guarded' by truck drivers!

As if we did not have road issues, already. To say that the sector roads are badly maintained would be an understatement. If we have heavy vehicles parked on them, they add to the travelling woes of the residents.

There is an increasing tendency in our society of 'bulldozing'. It is evident here too - try arguing with these truckers to move their trucks and you will realise how 'tough' they are.

I wonder why the cops are not aware of this. Or if they are aware of it, why are they looking the other way.

Some of these trucks are parked for months, together. Could these be stolen trucks or could these trucks be hidden because they are involved in accidents?

These are questions, that I, as a citizen, need answers from. I hope this forum will escalate the issue to the concerned people in administration/police for some action and answers.

Warm regard to all netizens!

bullying truckers

These truckers may have parked there because there are no restrictions to do so. I suggest to discreetly take some photos and approach the authorities. He who cries and shouts the loudest gets the attention. It is some times hard work but you have to take the lead and then the others in the area will join you. Put pressure on the authorities to act. Do not take this on single handed or put yourself in a vulnerable position. I wish you well on this matter.

Cops know about illegal parking of trucks very well but bribe plays an important role here. Truck driver or truck owners give money as a bribe in the concerned police station and they easily get the permission of illegal parking of trucks verbally from police.

In response to your complaint, I would also like to add a few points from my end….

Quote:
• Truck drivers always choose to park the trucks in front of our house and sometimes, even blocking our driveway/ramp! So, if I have to take my car in or out of the house, I cannot!
• Repeated pleas to them fall on deaf ears and we are instead being threatened by these people, upon raising this issue.
• By the way, the last time I checked there was a traffic police in Gurgaon. I wonder if they still exist. Or are they only there to cordon off roads, when VIPs visit.
Is there a way that we can upload pictures on to this web site of these illegally parked trucks or report these trucks/truck license plate numbers to authorities?

Does this forum have a provision for us to do this?

Further, may I request that all such civic issues, including this one, be escalated to the admin/moderator/police officials, in written format - this will enable this forum to become an effective platform for action.
Appeal to the responsible citizens and the managers of this forum.

It is heartening to know that this forum is raising these issues. It will be further worthwhile if it can create an easy platform for resolving these, too. That will be actual empowerment of people by way of Easy Drive Forum.

An amused, dejected but certainly not out citizen!
