Hi friends,
Investigation from sources reviles shocking information that Kurla east west light vehicular traffic subway 70% completed project, will now be replaced by pedestrian subway. Already a pedestrian foot over bridge exist like is exist at all railway stations and vehicular traffic subway or bridge was a 60 year old demand. 1. Things r fishy and non transparent with top officials at all levels and departments, refusing to comment and maintain the secrecy of the VJTI report. Project work had been stopped for more than a year now. 2. Why VJTI was referred to give report after 70% work being completed and not before the commencement of the project. 3. In today's technological world, r things so difficult to build a subway even on land when world can build under ground tunnels below the sea. And mind u, this subway is build with the present latest pre-build capsule push technology, and train traffic on busy central way line was not stopped even for a minute during it's working hours. Railways have done excellent job and completed 70% of their part of the job. 4. Is this job is hanging incomplete with deviation in original plan, due to political interference and motives or due to bureaucratic inefficiency? 5. As per news paper reports published in Hindustan times and Indian express, Shri Manohar joshi ex- MP of the area had promised that he will call a meeting with Mayor, to speed up the process. As per newspaper report, VJTI was appointed for giving it's report on project even after 70% of the project was already completed (Railways completed their part of the project.), but when officials of VJTI were contacted, they refused to be involved in any such project and straight away refused that VJTI ever get involved in any such reports giving process for subways etc. 6. As per newspaper reports, it was accepted by Manohar Joshi as well as BMC officials that project work which has been stopped for last 1 year and will resume after VJTI report comes on technical issues of the project, and this report is expect after 4 months of monsoon, In this era of transparency, why this report is kept hidden. VJTI straight away refuses to have knowledge of any such report being prepared by them and this was expressed with an uncooperative attitude and rude behavior. 7. Sources reviled that this subway project would now be converted into A PEDESTIAN SUBWAY and not a light vehicular traffic subway as originally designed. Already people r using foot overhead bridge for this purpose and such a under ground subway for pedestrian is neither required nor of any especial use. People of this country r taken for granted politicians and bureaucrats and public money is used in whichever way required to achieve personal goals, with out being accountable to anyone in anyway. We need to force authorities to revert back to the original plans of vehicular traffic subway, which seem to have been given up for some unknown, unprecedented reason why we r showing inefficiency to complete a 70% completed and money spend, simple tunnel build by latest technology of pushing capsules which is suppose to give a water proof tunnel. Above mention questions needs to be answered. We need to follow up this issue and need of the hour is to immediately get organized and start democratic peaceful agitation for fooling the faith and confidence of people in our politicians and administration..
